How long would it take to install my home bar? 

Answer

From the customers first point of contact with bars-by-design there are a number of processes we need to work through, therefore the speed is both dependent on the customer and the workload at the time on bars-by-design but a typical time frame from contact to the first drink at your home bar would be 10 to 15 weeks.

How much a home bar would cost us? 

Answer

Well that’s a good question and could be described as how long is a piece of string, the reason for this answer is never are there two home bars the same, it very much depends on the list of options you require.The range fully fitted in your home can vary from £2,000 up to £10,000 depending on size, extras and general level of work involved.

Could I see a real home bar? 

Answer

Yes we have a showroom in Newcastle under Lyme, there we have bar designs built to give ideas before you make any decisions.The showroom is called (The Tile Lounge) and holds a large range of ceramic tiles, natural stone tiles from many manufacturers.

How long has bars-by-design been in business? 

Answer

Bars-by-design is a trading name and operates under the PITT Ltd group.

PITT is a professional tiling and plumbing training centre that was set up in 2003 by its managing director Paul Riley. Paul set up bars-by-design because they hold all the skills required offering such a service and through our training facility we are able to train new people to become home bar installers for the future.

Do you undertake other work as we would require a doorway from the lounge through to the garage where we would like the bar built. 

Answer

Yes we undertake any planned work involving building work, tile fixing, plumbing, plastering, joinery and electrics.We are able to carry out other work to complete the home bar pub room due to the number of skilled people whom work with us on a day to day basis, therefore please call us before any works are planned.

Would we pay VAT on the cost of a home bar? 

Answer 

Yes we are VAT registered and therefore VAT is payable at 17.5% we call this

Vodka

And

Tonic  

However VAT is less painful after a tipple of Vodka And Tonic at your home bar.

Do bars-by-design really use quality products during home bar building? 

Answer 

Yes we use quality products throughout the build to ensure a professional lasting finish.  

Question 

What could be done if we were to damage a tile after the bar was fitted? 

Answer  

Most unlikely problem, you would have to take a hammer or such like to damage solid bed fixed tiles, however we have taken steps should you manage to cause any damage.

The home bar is constructed to allow easy repairs normally one or more tiles could be removed and replaced in around 90 minutes.
